Academic Team

The Williamsburg Academic Team is a group of students that compete academically with other High Schools that are located within Clermont County, OH. It is part of the Southern Buckeye Athletic/Academic Conference. Our standing or rank is based upon our school size. A traditional meet will last about 1.5 hours with 4 starting participants that have two rounds with possible substitutions.

The questions are based on American Literature, Math, World History, Physical Science, Fine Arts, Life Science, English/ World Literature, American Government, World Geography, & US History. The rounds are approximately two team questions and ten alphabet questions with 10 lightning round questions to finalize the round.

At the end of their first year students participating will earn a Varsity Letter. For each additional year of participation the student will earn a bar for their Williamsburg School Jacket. If the student has participated four years on the academic team the student will receive a plaque that states their achievement on the Academic Team.

The SBAAC tournament occurred on Saturday, Feb 23rd 2008 and started at 9:00am at Williamsburg HS/MS. The Williamsburg team won the conference championship in this double elimination tournament. Congratulations to our Wildcat academicians.
