Hello Wildcat families! Final Forms for the 2026-2027 school year are now LIVE! Please go in as soon as possible and complete those forms! It is especially important that you fill out the Transportation Information form so that we can place children on buses for the school year. This form should be completed no later than July 15 in order to ensure placement on a bus route. If you purchased the Chromebook Protection Plan in 2025-26 and qualify for a discount in 2026-27, you should have received an email from Mrs. Attinger with further instructions. If you did not receive one and feel that you qualify, please send her an email. If your child is participating in athletics in Middle School or High School, you will have several forms to fill out for that as well. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Attinger at attinger_a@burgschools.org.

This hands-on activity brought together math concepts students have learned throughout the year, including lines, angles, perimeter, vertices, rays, and more. A fun and creative way to review geometry skills while letting learning take flight!

🎨Our students recently had the exciting opportunity to visit University of Cincinnati Clermont College for the America 250 Art Exhibit featuring artwork created by students from across Clermont County!
The students pictured proudly participated in creating pieces for the exhibit, joining fellow young artists throughout the county in celebrating creativity, community, and America’s upcoming 250th anniversary. We are so proud of their hard work and artistic talents! ❤️💙

Our fourth graders wrapped up their unit last week on Holes by taking on the ultimate challenge — escaping Camp Green Lake!

Students in Mrs. Dean's WIN group had the opportunity to attend the Ohio Code Scholar Celebration at Southern State Community College. The students have worked hard to decorate, wire, and code a droid to have flashing lights, motors, and sound. The celebration had 1,300 projects from 31 schools with droids for elementary, middle school, and high school. Korbin C. won 4th place for Exceptional Creativity for his design and the ocean theme won 2nd place for best display.
These 4th graders completed the 20 Book Challenge! 📚🎉 We celebrated their hard work with a walking field trip to Wild Pop! 🚶🍿 So proud of all the reading they accomplished this year!
Our students had a wonderful time at the First Grade Flower Sale just in time for Mother’s Day! 🌸💐 Students were excited to pick out beautiful flowers and special gifts to celebrate the important people in their lives. Thank you to everyone who helped make this sweet tradition so special!

Kindergarten teacher, Kim Troxell, has been named Hixson Teacher of the Year! The Hixson Teacher of the Year program began in 1991 as a way for Hixson to honor the outstanding work teachers do to educate the next generation. Kim's impact on one of her students resulted in the student's family nominating her for this prestigious honor. Congratulations, Mrs. Troxell! Education Academy students from the high school spent their day at the elementary school with 4th and 5th grade students!
4th graders learned about careers in construction and architecture. They had the opportunity to build simple 3D shapes and competed in bridge building and tall structure building competitions.
5th graders learned about STEM careers and engineering. They challenged themselves to build their own robot - a DoodleBot!
