Mrs. Moore's ELA flex group practiced utilizing prefixes , root words, and suffixes to help them break apart the names of unknown dinosaurs and then illustrate the dinosaur based on their scientific name. This skill helps students determine the meaning of unknown words when they encounter them in the texts.

Mrs. Cleaver sixth graders took the field today with a plot card sort challenge using the short story Just Once. Like a football team running plays, they worked together to move Moose’s story down the field from kickoff (exposition) to the game-winning touchdown (resolution).
