The National Honor Society recently held an in-school fundraising event to support the League for Animal Welfare. The fundraiser, called Change for Change, involved NHS students collecting donations during lunchtime using two labeled containers. Students could place money in the container of their choice, with each donation counting as a vote for that container’s label. Some of the lighthearted debates included matchups like Cats vs. Dogs, LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan, and Mr. Kirk vs. Mr. Tackett. At the end of the day, all votes were counted and the winners of each debate were announced. Thanks to the fun and generosity of the school community, the National Honor Society raised just under $300 to help sick and injured pets in our area.
